Tiffany's Joiful Thoughts
Dinners, Events, Back-to-School Night, Parent/Teacher Conferences, Mommy and Me Playdates and nothing to wear! Like so many other mom’s, I fell prey to the age of the old problem that has plagued women for years. I had a closet full of clothes but couldn’t find anything to wear. That was me until I re-invented myself into a designer and my closet into a haven of fashion fun! To eliminate the problem of not having anything to wear, shop at Joiful Maternity. Joiful Maternity has an amazing selection of maternity clothing that could be worn to several occasions. I love wearing the Prague leggings with a pair of high boots. I also love wearing the Manhattan dress because this is a dress that I can easily add a sweater, scarf or fashionable necklace. Joiful Maternity allows pregnant women to have sexy and stylish clothes in their closet.
A question that a lot of women ask me is, "Whether it's appropriate/inappropriate to wear a bikini while pregnant?".
When I was pregnant, I loved the summer months, the beach, pool, etc. I personally think that it's fine to wear a bikini while pregnant. In fact, when I see pregnant women wearing a bikini, I think it's beautiful. However, I do think a pregnant woman should do what makes her feel the most comfortable and confident. If she feels comfortable and confident when wearing a bikini, then I say, do it. If she doesn't feel comfortable and confident wearing a bikini, then my advice would be to wear something that makes you feel comfortable and confident. Pregnancy is beautiful, there isn't anything wrong with embracing your belly. Just do it in a way that makes you happy! :-)
Many fathers have a hard time connecting with their infant children because they are so dependent upon their mothers, especially if she is the only source of food and takes on the majority of the responsibility. I think it's very important for both parents to connect to the infant. This connection can happen by sharing the responsibility.
My husband made an effort to share the...
As a new mom, with my son Elijah, I was flabbergasted by the amount of diapers I went through. Friends and family members told me that it would be crazy but one cannot fathom until they are knee deep. With so many different brands to choose from and having tried most at least once, here are a few helpful words of wisdom from Tiffany's Diaper Decathlon!
Last Place: Kirkland Signature - I'm normally a huge fan of anything Costco! With a family of four, we go through food faster than you can say Costco. However, when it comes to their diapers, run fast. While they are cheaper than any other brand, they simply don't function as a diaper should. They leak from the sides, legs, back..... everywhere! I constantly changed Elijah's clothes because the diapers leaked every time Elijah went to the bathroom. They were a complete disaster.
Bronze Medal: Huggies - While these were far more absorbent than ...
Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens may not be on the top of my list. But, here are a few of my favorite favorite finds that you may love as well!
1. Microwave Bottle Sterilizer - I loved this because I would take the bottle apart, wash it and throw everything in the sterilizer and everything was sterilized in a couple of minutes.
2. Dr. Brown Bottles - This was the only bottle that I used that never leaked. It also reduces colic.
3. Baby Bjorn - My kiddies loved being in this. They never wanted to face me......they always wanted to face the other direction so that they could observe everything that was going on.
Why they call it morning sickness alludes me. When I was pregnant with my daughter Giovanna, I had morning sickness in the morning, afternoon, evening and what felt like every hour in-between. It was awful! However, after a couple of months of devastation and countless trials and errors, I discovered a few home remedies that eased my pain. It's quite amazing how differently each woman responds to pregnancy. However, if you are struggling how I was, give these a try. Let me know if they work for you?
While pregnant, there are so many do's and don'ts about
what to eat and what not to eat. While staying away from anything raw, deli
meats and soft cheeses is probably a good idea; I'd have to say that the
hardest thing for me not to eat all the time was fish. I didn't realize how much fish I ate until I
was pregnant. My doctor told me that I
could only eat fish once a week. To be
safe, I only ate cooked fish once every two weeks. I sure was happy when I
could dig in after my pregnancy!
I was pregnant with my two beautiful children, Elijah and Giovanna I should
have written a book about everything that happened, everything I felt, and
everything I never wanted to forget. Some of those experiences were amazing,
some were simply horrific and others were down right hilarious! It's amazing
how each of my pregnancies were so different. One of the things that I
will never forget is how...
